I just melt butter in a pan, and then pour it over the popcorn. Works for me!
i used to work at a movie theatre and the butter we used was already made, all we did was heat it and pour it on the popcorn.!! =D so you can probably get regular butter, melt it, and pour THAT on your popcorn!?!

The “butter” on theatre popcorn is actually butter flavored partually hydroginated vegetable oil. You can take butter flavored crisco melt it and pour it over the popcorn.
