How do I resize a movie file from my digital camera?
The Razzler asked:
You know the function on most digital cameras that allow you to take short movies? Well, I have a movie clip I have been trying to upload for the last few months. For some reason, youtube and myspace wont allow me to post it (it says the file is too large)
Does anybody know how to fix this? I’m also wondering if I have to format the video, and if thats the case, how do I do that?
If anyone has an answer please let me know!!

I don’t know Youtube’s file size limitations, nor the format your camera uses for video. But Windows XP has a sorta nice program called Windows Movie Maker. I don’t know if Vista has it, too. But it will take WMV, MPG, & AVI files so you can edit them and create a movie file of whatever size you need in WMV format. Smaller files are lower quality resolution, but that’s the trade-off.
If your camera doesn’t use one of the above formats, you’ll need a video file conversion program. I don’t know if there are any good free ones. I had to buy the one I’m using.
